Class Information.

Reading Books will be changed every Monday once read to an adult -please ensure books and reading records are sent in daily. Please read each book more than once.

Less fluent readers should read the first time for decoding, second time for fluency and a third time for comprehension. This may be a sentence or a page at a time.

Our spelling tests will take place each Monday -please practise spellings and the rules which the children will be learning in our phonics sessions and ensure spelling books are sent in each week. The spelling list for each current week will be listed below in case your child is absent when they are given out or they are mislaid.

From the start of the Summer Term

PE sessions will take place each Wednesday.

Children will need to bring in their kit in at the start of the week and it can be taken home again at the end of the week for washing or left on pegs until the end of half term whichever you prefer!

SWIMMING will take place on a Friday morning

Swimming costumes, goggles and towels as well as clothes should be named please.

Well done to all Starling Class children who managed to create a Biome in a Box over the Easter break. They are AMAZING!

There are 6 different biomes that you could choose from. Each one is quite unique. Grassland, woodland, rainforest, tundra, savannah and desert. There are lots of examples online.
